Hiking Mark Twain National Forest

Mark Twain National Forest has 1.5 million acres and over 700 miles of trails for hikers of all ages and skill levels. You’ll find hikes ranging from strenuous cross-country treks through dense hard- and softwood forests, and uphill climbs to summit mountains that make up one of the oldest and most beautiful ranges in the United States, to leisurely walks through some of the unique geological features the state has to offer. In the Mark Twain National Forest, there are plenty of trails for all experience levels.
